These are definitely not as light as Zipps, but I've raced these on really
bad surface, hit big potholes, and have never had to true them.  Mounting
tires was easy, brake surface was probably an 8/10, and the biggest deal
of all - $150 will replace a trashed rim.  To me, this is the kicker, by
far.  I wouldn't race carbon wheels if I was going to be out $500-1000
when I crash.  I do too many races to realistically expect never to crash,
and I buy my own gear, so this is the biggest decider to me.

The biggest thing you can do to enjoy these more?  Get nice tires, and
throw away the pads that come with.  Get Zipp carbon pads instead
(
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=A0055 - $40 for a bike worth)
- they're much, much better braking, and worth every penny, especially in
the wet.

I wish they were a little deeper, since I'm a big guy and can handle some
side wind, but at their depth, they don't catch much crosswind.  However,
they're still more aero than a surprising amount of stuff out there, even
deeper rims.

In short, if you can shave 200g off by spending about $1200-1500 more, but
you can get these, with crash insurance, for under $1000 total, with tires
and pads.  It's an insane deal.

These are stiff wheels though - I'm not sure I'd want to use these for a
lot of long-distance touring, but they're what I'll use for all my races.
