There's not much to say about
tires most of the time. You ride them and they don't flat
or they do, they wear well or they don't, and they grip in
corners or they don't.
The Michelin Pro Race 2's grip better in corners than any
other tire I've ridden, such as the Maxxis Hors Categorie.
You can actually tell the difference, which surprised me.
Plus, these tires feel "softer" and "plusher" than pretty
much anything else I've tried. From now on, these are the
only clincher tires I'll be buying (well, they came out
with the Pro Race 3, so I might try those).
On a course where my brand new Continental Competition
Tubulars flatted in 4 miles (wow, did that make me mad!),
the Pro Race 2's were fine for 40 miles (and counting).
That doesn't mean anything of course, since I could've just
gotten lucky, but the pavement was terrible were I've tried
them and I had no problems. I've been using these as my
race tires since, with no issues.
