There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding product reviews on the internet. Most of the sites I've found seem to only leave glowing reviews of all the products they were given for free to review.

The opposite of these types of "pay for praise" reviews is a great site, Road Bike Review, which contains user-generated reviews of tons of products. The downside of this is that it really is the opposite of something like CyclingNews or Bicycling Magazine reviews - a disproportionate number of reviews are people who hated a product enough to go find a place to yell about it. You don't see all the people who loved the product in the first place.

My goal here is to leave enough information in a fair, unbiased review to answer most of questions about product design and quality that potential buyers have. Sometimes, this will mean linking to great reviews when I don't have time to be comprehensive enough myself. This doesn't mean the reviews will always be terribly insightful, or that you'll feel the same way, but I don't have any incentive to say good or bad things about any of these products other than that I've tried them myself.

The following is a list of products I currently use, have not yet reviewed, but hope to review soon:
